Charles L. Koehn 1916 - 1924

 

Charles L. Koehn was the 16th circuit clerk of Sangamon County. After his service in this position, he was county treasurer until his death at age 55.  Koehn was a lifelong Springfield resident, who was “long identified with the political, business, and social life of the community.” Charles Married Mongna C. Johnson and the pair had two children, one daughter and one son.

Koehn was an avid Republican. Aside from holding the position of Circuit Clerk for 8 years, Koehn spent two terms on the Board of Trustees of Springfield Pleasure Driveway and the Springfield Park District. Koehn was also the owner of Angel’s Café in Springfield for 6 years.
